29 July 2026 | 3 months ago
The deputy energy minister for electricity said on the evening of Tuesday 28 July 2026 that scheduled power restrictions at 48 of Iran's large industrial estates have been cut from two days a week to one.
The decision follows a series of changes announced in recent days to industrial electricity quotas, including an additional 300 to 400 megawatts allocated to small industry, announced by a deputy minister of industry, mines and trade on Tuesday 28 July 2026.
Industrial power curbs during the hot months are one of the factors shaping production schedules at listed companies in the metals, cement and petrochemical groups.
