According to Donya-e-Eqtesad, citing Bloomberg, the Qatar Investment Authority (QIA) is finalizing a 20 billion dollar partnership with JPMorgan Chase's asset management arm, per an official statement released Monday, September 21, 2026 (30 Shahrivar 1405), covering public and private equity and credit markets. Under the plan, 15 billion dollars will go to public equities and 5 billion to private markets focused on mid sized US companies. The deal follows QIA's January agreement to allocate up to 25 billion dollars to Goldman Sachs's asset management unit. Qatar's 580 billion dollar sovereign wealth fund continues expanding its international investments despite a budget shortfall driven by a sharp drop in the country's oil and gas revenue and roughly 20 billion dollars in damage from the March strike on its Ras Laffan facility.
