Kamran Lashgari, director general of industry, mining and trade for Iran's Qazvin province, said on Sunday 2 August 2026 that 113 industrial operating licences were issued in the province during the first four months of the current Iranian year. He said the licences carried more than 15,000 billion toman of investment and created the basis for employing more than 5,000 people.
Qazvin county accounted for the largest number of permits with 31 licences, 1,873 billion toman of investment and 1,300 jobs. Abyek county drew the largest investment share with 27 licences and 8,100 billion toman, supporting 1,735 jobs. Alborz county saw 31 licences with 3,500 billion toman and 989 jobs, Takestan 9 licences with 1,353 billion toman and 943 jobs, Buin Zahra 13 licences with 300 billion toman and 320 jobs, and Avaj 2 licences with 14 billion toman and 7 jobs.
Lashgari said the balanced distribution of permits across counties reflects an effort to develop industry, mining and trade evenly throughout the province, and that supporting investors, easing the permit process and removing production barriers are among the directorate's main priorities.
