The Transport Fleet Renewal and Old Vehicle Scrappage HQ said registration for the old tractor-truck scrappage scheme, which is tied to tractor-truck imports under Clause "p" of Article 59 of the Seventh Development Plan law, has been deactivated until further notice. The stated cause is a 22 Mehr 1405 (14 October 2026) notice from the Industry, Mining and Trade Ministry on a lower import currency quota ceiling, based on a currency committee resolution of 6 Mehr 1405 (28 September 2026). According to the notice, reported by Mehr on Saturday, 17 October 2026 (25 Mehr 1405), only applicants whose registered chassis are at the "vehicle ownership confirmation" stage may continue. Reopening registration depends on an official notice from the ministry's machinery and equipment industries deputy.
