Retail Money Returns to Stocks as Fixed-Income Funds See Outflows

Trading on the Tehran Stock Exchange ended on Monday, 28 September 2026 (6 Mehr 1405) with the main index (TEDPIX) up 189,120 points, or 2.6 percent, at 7,463,264, while the equal-weighted index rose 2.28 percent to 2,005,870. According to Donya-e-Eqtesad, 792 symbols closed higher and 74 lower, with 539 buy queues against 21 sell queues at the close.

On the same day, 4,818 billion tomans of retail (individual) money flowed into shares, rights and equity funds, while fixed-income funds saw outflows of 3,622 billion tomans. The average retail purchase was 94 million tomans against an average sale of 86 million tomans. Sahmino's own recorded data confirm the day's direction: the last index reading we recorded, at 13:24 on Monday, was 7,459,342, up 185,197 points, and the Farabourse main index rose 1,317 points to 60,073.

Turnover was the weak spot: the value traded in shares, rights and equity funds on Monday was 30,771 billion tomans, below Sunday's (27 September) 32,449 billion tomans.
