Saudi Crude Oil Production Fell to 6.637 Million Barrels a Day in June
31 July 2026 · 2 months ago
Data from the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries shows Saudi Arabia's crude oil production fell to 6.637 million barrels a day in June 2026, down from 7.010 million barrels a day in May. That is a month-on-month drop of about 373,000 barrels a day for the world's largest oil exporter.
The level sits well below Saudi Arabia's long-run average output of 8.298 million barrels a day since 1973, and far below its record high of 12.007 million barrels a day set in April 2020. Trading Economics described the June figure as Saudi Arabia's lowest oil output since 2020.
The decline comes as the Saudi oil industry has been damaged during the continuing war in West Asia. Other national data point the same way: Saudi industrial output fell 18.7% in May, and the country's gross domestic product contracted in the second quarter of 2026 for the first time in more than two years.
