September Cash Subsidy Deposited to Over 10 Million Low-Income Households in Iran

According to Khabaronline, citing the Young Journalists Club, Iran deposited the 187th round of monthly cash subsidies for September (Shahrivar 1405) on Thursday, September 17, 2026. The payment, totaling 110,969 billion rials, was made available to 10,384,595 heads of household in income deciles one through three.

The deposit was made after deducting installments owed on facilities such as Arbaeen pilgrimage loans, COVID era loans and credit purchases. Per the labor ministry's income decile classification, 28,189,717 people fall within deciles one through three, and their cash subsidy is deposited on the 25th of each month through 28 partner banks. The next payment, for deciles four through nine, is scheduled for September 22 (31 Shahrivar).
