Silver climbs back above 58 dollars on Friday, up nearly 2 percent

Global silver prices climbed back above 58 dollars an ounce on Friday, 24 July 2026, rising nearly 2 percent from about 57.3 dollars on Thursday to near 58.4 dollars. Investment demand and industrial consumption, especially from the solar sector, supported the price.
The market was two-sided, however: a jump in oil prices amid escalating regional tensions lifted U.S. Treasury yields and the dollar, stripping part of the safe-haven premium out of precious metals (gold, silver and platinum). Platinum eased slightly over the same period.
For Iran's market, the trend in global precious metals feeds through to domestic prices of gold, coin and silverware.
