Suspension of Import Registration Priority Over Warehouse Receipts Extended to End of Shahrivar

The Import and Export Regulations Office of Iran's Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade notified the head of Iran Customs' import department that it has extended the suspension of the rule requiring an import registration or statistical registration date to precede a warehouse receipt date, through the end of Shahrivar 1405 (September 22, 2026). According to Bourse News, the relief is extended under an order from the first vice president, and under it, in covered cases, having a registration date later than the warehouse receipt date will not block goods from being cleared through the deadline.
The underlying rule, in force since 1403 (2024/2025) to control the entry of goods before they physically reach customs, can otherwise cause goods to pile up at customs and raise importers' storage costs when registration, currency allocation or import licensing is delayed. The extension is intended to prevent that kind of holdup in the clearance process.
