Tehran Exchange's Equal-Weight Index Rises for a 22nd Straight Session as Saipa Hits a One-Year High

In trading on Saturday, August 22, 2026, the Tehran Stock Exchange's main index (TEDPIX) rose 108,860 points to close at 6,061,547, while the equal-weight index advanced for a 22nd consecutive session. According to Donya-e-Eqtesad, about 2.6 trillion tomans (26,000 billion rials) of real-money retail inflow entered the stock market on the day. The rally went beyond the index itself: Saipa (خساپا) hit its highest price in a year on its seventh straight up session and stood in a buy queue, Iran Khodro (خودرو) reached its highest closing price in months on its fourth consecutive up session, and Bank Mellat (وبملت) touched its highest close in several weeks. Total trade value on the Tehran Stock Exchange reached more than 348,000 billion rials on the day.
