Tehran Stock Exchange Closes Above 7.7 Million Points for the First Time, a Fourth Straight Record Session

Trading on the Tehran Stock Exchange ended Wednesday, September 30, 2026 (8 Mehr 1405) with a fresh record. According to Donya-e-Eqtesad, the TEDPIX main index rose 2.26 percent, entering the 7.7 million point range for the first time and closing at about 7,766,000 points. Sahmino's own recorded data puts the exact close at 7,766,537.65, up 171,580.33 points from Tuesday's close of 7,594,951.97; this marks the fourth consecutive session in which TEDPIX has set a new all time high, following gains on Sunday, September 27, Monday, September 28 and Tuesday, September 29. The equal weight index rose 1.8 percent to 2,066,687.72. Trading value on the exchange topped 406,000 billion rials today. According to Sahmino's own market data, individual investors were net buyers on the day while institutional investors were net sellers.
