For a Seventh Straight Session, Tehran Stock Exchange Index Enters the 5.7 Million Band

Tehran Stock Exchange's main index (TEDPIX) closed Tuesday, August 11, 2026 (20 Mordad 1405), the last trading session of the previous week, up 1.46 percent at 5,736,000 points, entering the 5.7 million band for the first time in its history. It marked the index's seventh consecutive day of gains, taking its year to date return to about 54 percent.
According to Bourse News, the equal weighted index rose 1.11 percent for a sixteenth straight day of advances, while the Farabourse composite index (IFX) added 1.1 percent. Retail trading value that session reached about 34,000 billion tomans, and individual investors injected a net 1,828 billion tomans of fresh money into the market. At the close, 74 percent of listed symbols finished higher and 26 percent lower, with about 9,000 billion tomans in unfilled buy orders.
