Tehran Stock Exchange index climbs 74,000 points on Tuesday to 4.89 million

Tehran's benchmark index closed Tuesday, 30 Tir 1405 (21 July 2026), up 74,046 points, or 1.54 percent, at 4,887,551. The equal weighted index also rose about 26,000 points, a sign the gains were not confined to large caps but reached the broader market, with roughly 94 percent of symbols finishing higher.
According to exchange board data, retail turnover in shares, rights offerings and equity funds reached about 11,492 billion tomans, and close to 3.7 trillion tomans of net real money inflow entered the equity market. The advance came even as markets stayed sensitive to the war and to swings in the currency and gold, with part of equity demand typically reflecting inflation expectations.
