Tehran Stock Exchange Index Falls 0.32 Percent Today as Sell Queues Outnumber Buy Queues

According to Donya-e-Eqtesad, Tehran's main stock index (TEDPIX) closed down 24,790 points, or 0.32 percent, at 7,783,279 points at the end of trading today, Sunday, October 4, 2026 (12 Mehr 1405). During the session, the number of sell queues exceeded the number of buy queues. The decline extends recent volatility in the index: on Saturday, 11 Mehr, TEDPIX crossed the 7.9 million point mark within minutes of opening, nearing a fresh record, before heavy selling pressure reversed the move and pulled it back to around 7.789 million points by midday. According to Sahmino's own data, Tehran's main equity gauge has posted heavy year to date gains and remains near historic highs.
