Tehran Stock Exchange's main index reaches 7.13 million points in today's trading

Tehran Stock Exchange's main index (TEDPIX) rose 55,296 points to 7,130,241 by 10:03 Tehran time on Wednesday, September 9, 2026 (18 Shahrivar 1405), settling in the 7.1 million point range for the first time. According to Khabaronline, Tehran Stock Exchange turnover reached 201,906 billion tomans across more than 547,000 trades by that hour, on volume of about 42.6 billion shares. The equal weighted index, which gives a clearer picture of small and mid cap tickers, rose 5,668 points to 1,942,310, and the two indices climbing together suggests demand was not confined to a narrow group of large companies. According to Sahmino's own recorded data, the Farabourse main index also rose 493 points to 55,154 over the same window.
