Trading on Iran's capital market opened with buyers outweighing sellers on Sunday 2 August 2026 (11 Mordad 1405), and the Tehran exchange's main gauges moved into positive territory. Mid-session trading data showed the total index up 98,902 points at 5,153,688, while the equal weight index rose 22,275 points to 1,461,796.
Donya-e-Eqtesad, in a separate mid-session report the same day, recorded a jump of about 96,000 points in the total index, a gain of 1.9 percent, and a 1.43 percent rise in the equal weight index. The two gauges moving together indicates the day's advance was not confined to large index heavyweight shares. Trading volume passed 22.5 billion shares by that point, and the Farabourse total index rose 665 points to 41,602.
These figures are from the middle of Sunday's session, not the close; the Tehran exchange trades Saturday to Wednesday from 09:00 to 12:30.
