Tehran's benchmark TEDPIX index ended Sunday, 26 July 2026, at 5,002,330 points, up 107,877 points or 2.2 percent on the day. The market had closed the previous session, Saturday 25 July, at 4,894,453 points. It was the index's first close above the 5 million mark since 12 July 2026.
The equal weighted index rose 29,582 points on the same day to 1,393,503. According to Tejarat News, close to 90 percent of listed symbols closed in positive territory, with the market attributing the advance to easing military tensions and a falling dollar rate.
The TEDPIX had reached 5,311,524 points on 7 July 2026 before retreating to 4,777,285 points by 18 July. Sunday's close narrows the gap to that peak to roughly 6 percent.
