26 September 2026 · 10 days ago

Mehdi Zamani, deputy for market operations at the Tehran Stock Exchange, said in remarks reported by Boursenews on Friday, 3 Mehr 1405 (September 25, 2026), that under a decision by the exchange's board, the closing time for trading sessions of exchange traded funds investing in fixed-income securities, real estate, land and buildings, projects, and fund of funds will move from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. starting 18 Mehr 1405 (October 10, 2026).

Zamani said the change aims to increase flexibility, improve market participants' access, and ease liquidity and the management of cash flows. He stressed that the closing time for all equity funds remains unchanged at 12:30 p.m.

Fixed-income funds are among the largest destinations for liquidity on Iran's capital market, and longer trading hours let investors move money after the stock session ends.
