12 September 2026 | last month
US President Donald Trump said on Saturday, September 12, 2026 (21 Shahrivar 1405), that Iran was probably behind the drone attack on Saudi Arabia's East to West oil pipeline, which struck on Friday, September 11 (20 Shahrivar) and forced Riyadh to halt the pipeline. According to Al Jazeera, Trump also said Yemen's Houthi forces have asked his administration not to intervene in Yemen.
The remarks came as Brent crude headed for a nearly 13 percent weekly gain and a return above 100 dollars a barrel, and after Baghdad separately agreed to Iran's request for a joint investigation into drone launch platforms discovered near the two countries' shared border.
