Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC), the world's largest contract chipmaker, reported on Monday, July 13, 2026, that second-quarter revenue (April to June) rose 36% year-on-year to a record NT$1.27 trillion (about $39.63 billion). The figure came in slightly above analysts' NT$1.264 trillion estimate and near the top of the company's own guidance of $39 billion to $40.2 billion.
Demand for AI chips drove the growth. June revenue alone jumped 67.9% to NT$442.68 billion, and first-half 2026 sales reached NT$2.40 trillion, up 35.6% from a year earlier.
TSMC will release its full second-quarter results, including net profit and margins, at its earnings conference on Thursday, July 16. As the main manufacturer of Nvidia's and Apple's chips, its performance is treated as a barometer of global technology demand.
