19 August 2026 | 2 months ago
According to Arzdigital, published Tuesday, August 18, 2026 (27 Mordad 1405) at 23:12 Tehran time, the US Securities and Exchange Commission formally put forward a new set of proposed rules aimed at creating a clear regulatory framework for the digital asset market. The proposal is designed to define the legal status of digital assets, clarify requirements for token offerings, and create clearer legal pathways for companies and crypto projects to operate.
Per the report, the proposed rules could redefine registration, fundraising, custody and trading requirements for digital assets and reduce some of the multi year regulatory ambiguity facing the industry. The rules are not yet final, however, and must go through a public comment period, further review and a final commission vote before taking effect.
