US Strikes Iran for a Seventh Straight Night; CENTCOM Says Underground Weapons Stores and Military Sites Hit
18 July 2026 | 3 months ago
US Central Command (CENTCOM) said American forces struck targets in Iran early on Saturday, July 18, 2026, marking the seventh consecutive night of the renewed bombing campaign. According to CENTCOM, the strikes hit "surveillance sites, military logistics infrastructure, underground weapons storage, and maritime capabilities."
Iranian state media, citing senior Revolutionary Guards commander Mohsen Rezaei, warned that Iran would move to a phase of "full-scale offensive operations" if US strikes continued for "another two or three days." The recent military escalation, alongside disrupted shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, has added to pressure on energy and currency markets.
