Volkswagen's Q2 2026 operating profit fell nearly 10%; 2026 revenue outlook cut

Germany's Volkswagen Group said on Friday, 24 July (2 Mordad), that its second-quarter 2026 operating profit came in at 3.5 billion euros, down about 10% from a year earlier and below analysts' expectation of 4.3 billion euros.
The company changed its full-year sales-revenue outlook from growth of up to 3% to a decline of up to 3%, while keeping its operating-margin forecast of 4.0% to 5.5%. Volkswagen, the world's second-largest carmaker, blamed tariff pressure and intensifying Chinese competition and pointed to a wide cost-restructuring drive.
