On Sunday, 2 August 2026 (11 Mordad 1405), the premium on Iran's quarter gold coin reached 7,391,000 tomans, more than double the 3,522,000 toman premium on the full Emami coin, even though the quarter coin holds one fourth of the gold. As a share of price, the premium is about 14 percent on the quarter coin and under 2 percent on the Emami. Four quarter coins cost 210,400,000 tomans, while a single Emami coin holding the same gold traded at 187,000,000 tomans.
