Razak Pharmaceutical (DRZK) Has Risen About 176% Since Its June 15 Reopening, Closing Each Session Bid-Locked; Behind the Run, a Jump in Quarterly Profit and a P/E Below the Sector Average

Razak Pharmaceutical (DRZK), halted for roughly four months, has climbed nearly 176% from its June 15, 2026 reopening to August 19, closing that last session at 3,980 rials on a buy queue, with volume about five times the one-month average. Razak Pharmaceutical, traded as DRZK on the Tehran Stock Exchange, has become one of the loudest rallies of this stretch of the market. The stock, halted for roughly four months from late winter 1404, climbed nearly 176% from its reopening on Monday, June 15, 2026 (25 Khordad 1405) to the most recent trading session, Wednesday, August 19, 2026 (28 Mordad 1405), closing almost every session on a buy queue at the top of its daily band. Behind that run sits one clear fundamental number: a jump in profit in the company's latest interim statement.

Background

DRZK was suspended for a long stretch, close to four months, from late Bahman 1404, with its closing price frozen at about 1,398 rials throughout. Over that same window the Tehran Stock Exchange overall index and, in particular, the pharmaceutical sector index kept climbing, so the halted share effectively missed the wave of repricing. When the symbol reopened on June 15, 2026 at about 1,439 rials, that gap was closed through a string of higher sessions and buy queues, a pattern that ran until August 19 and lifted the price to 3,980 rials (about 398 tomans), its highest level in a year.

For scale, the stock's one-year low is about 852 rials, so the current price is close to 4.7 times that floor. In the single month to August 19 alone, the return was about 68%.

Key figures (as of August 19, 2026)

  • Closing price, Wednesday, August 19, 2026: 3,980 rials, up 2.84% from the prior close (3,870 rials). The share closed at the top of its band and on a buy queue.
  • Buy-queue volume at the close: about 267.5 million shares bid at 3,980 rials.
  • Volume that day: about 57.6 million shares, close to five times the roughly 11.3 million-share twenty-session average. Retail investors were net buyers in the session.
  • Gain from the June 15 reopening to August 19: about 176%. One-month return about 68%.

The fundamentals behind it: the quarterly statement

The main driver is the interim financial statement for the three months to June 21, 2026 (31 Khordad 1405), which the company published on codal on July 20, 2026 (unaudited). On a trailing twelve-month basis to that period:

  • Trailing net profit reached about 790 billion tomans and sales revenue about 2,550 billion tomans.
  • Net profit for the three-month period rose more than 15-fold (a gain of about 1,522%) versus the same period last year, and revenue grew 92%. Part of that percentage jump in profit reflects a low base in the comparable period last year, and the figures are still unaudited.
  • Gross margin is about 42%, net margin about 31%, and return on equity (ROE) about 33%. The debt-to-equity ratio is low, around 0.15.

The catch is that reported profit is not necessarily the same as cash that entered the company; the test is the ratio of operating cash flow to net profit, which Sahmino has explained before with a real example (earnings quality and cash conversion).

Drivers

Three factors together explain the run. First, the jump in three-month profit, which has raised expectations for the company's future earnings. Second, the long halt: the stock reopened after missing four months of the market's climb, and the market closed that gap through a series of buy queues and higher openings. Third, the stock's relative cheapness against its sector: even after the run, DRZK's price-to-earnings ratio is about 8.8, while the pharmaceutical sector average sits near 13. Trailing earnings per share (EPS) is about 453 rials, and the free float is about 44%. A stock's P/E is only meaningful next to its own sector average. In Sahmino's composite score, DRZK rates about 60 out of 100 and ranks fifteenth among the 68 names in the pharmaceutical sector.

Outlook

This section is analysis, not a firm forecast. A large part of the 176% rise has the catch-up character of a reopening after a long halt; a gain that unfolds through buy queues and band ceilings does not necessarily mean the climb continues, and it can stall on the first heavy wave of selling. A P/E below the sector average is not, on its own, a guarantee of further gains, especially since the profit figures are still unaudited and part of the striking percentage jump in profit is a low-base effect from last year. What will make the path clearer in the coming days is how the buy queue and trading volume behave once the reopening excitement fades.

Bottom line

DRZK is a clear example of how one fundamental number, a jump in quarterly profit, shows up in price through a string of buy queues after a long halt; the stock rose about 176% from its June 15 reopening to August 19, 2026 and settled at 3,980 rials. The thing to remember is that the P/E, about 8.8, is still below the pharmaceutical sector average, but part of this rise was catch-up from the halt and the profit figures are unaudited, so the number has to be read alongside its context.

What to watch

  • The audited financial statement and the company's next monthly reports on codal, to judge how durable the profit is.
  • The behavior of the buy queue and trading volume in sessions after August 19; heavy selling or the queue emptying out is the first sign of a change in trend.
  • The gap between DRZK's P/E and the pharmaceutical sector average, tracked on Sahmino's live market prices.
