Active Stock Market Investors Top 2 Million Accounts in Shahrivar

According to Boursenews, citing statistics from the Securities and Exchange Organization's exchange supervision department published on Monday, 28 September 2026 (6 Mehr 1405), the number of active stock market investors in Shahrivar 1405 (23 August to 22 September 2026), excluding accounts that traded only in IPOs, reached 2,059,025, of which 2,055,295 were individual and 3,730 institutional accounts.

According to the same report, in Shahrivar individuals accounted for 10,459,201 billion rials of trading (69 percent), institutions for 1,922,283 billion rials (12.7 percent) and equity funds for 967,932 billion rials (6.4 percent). Basic metals, banks and chemical products were the three most-traded industries, together accounting for 39 percent of total trading value.
