According to a Mehr News report on September 19, 2026 (28 Shahrivar 1405), Iran's National Financing Council issued an approval-in-principle for the establishment of a Non-Governmental Oil Industry Guarantee Fund. The fund will be formed with initial capital of 300 million euros and the participation of 20 shareholders from the banking, financial and oil sectors, aimed at facilitating financing and issuing guarantees for oil-industry projects.
