Overhaul work on phases 20 and 21 of Pars Jonoubi Gas Complex's Phase 8 refinery, which began with the shutdown of phase 20 at dawn on September 7, 2026 (16 Shahrivar 1405), was completed in a total of 9 days (4.5 days per phase), down from 15 days per phase last year, a cut of about 70 percent. Mehr News, citing the Ministry of Petroleum, quoted Hadi Chabok, the Phase 8 refinery's manager, as saying the fourth gas train was brought online on September 15 (24 Shahrivar) and the refinery returned fully to production ahead of schedule. Around 658 specialist and operational personnel worked a combined roughly 71,000 person hours on the project, which aimed to boost equipment reliability and readiness for the cold season, and was completed without incident.
