The deputy managing director for credit affairs at Bank Maskan said on Wednesday 5 August 2026 that financing contracts have been signed for more than 396,000 units under the National Housing Movement scheme. The report was published by Mehr News Agency.
He also stressed the need to speed up instalment sales for projects that have reached a high level of physical progress. Instalment sale is the stage at which a completed unit is handed over to the applicant and repayment of the loan begins.
The National Housing Movement is the country's largest state housing construction programme, and the pace at which its units are financed and handed over is one of the variables shaping the supply side of the housing market.
