Bitcoin Slips Back to the $84,000 Range Under Leveraged Selling

Bitcoin fell to the $84,000 range in trading on Wednesday evening, September 23, 2026 (1 Mehr 1405), after gains in recent days. According to ArzDigital, more than $230 million of leveraged long positions were liquidated within a single hour as the price dropped, with cascading stop losses intensifying the selling. EcoIran also reported that Bitcoin pulled back to $85,000 that day after crossing $87,000.
The drop came on a risk-off day across global markets, with gold and silver also lower. In Sahmino's data, Bitcoin stood at about $83,900 on Thursday morning, 2 Mehr (08:00 Tehran time).
