A hacker who previously stole about 387.5 million dollars from crypto exchange Bitget began moving part of the stolen funds, about 2,700 ZEC (roughly 3.8 million dollars), into Zcash's shielded Ironwood pool on Thursday, October 1, 2026 (9 Mehr 1405), ArzDigital reported, citing on chain investigator ZachXBT. Bitget CEO Gracy Chen said technical evidence points to North Korean hackers' involvement in the breach. Earlier, the Near Intents platform's screening system, called Shield, blocked the conversion of more than 50 million dollars of the hacker's assets and froze about 503,000 dollars of it, while the THORChain protocol declined to block the hacker's addresses.
