Hemmati said he hopes that containing liquidity growth will help the slowdown in inflation's pace, which began in Tir, continue through Shahrivar. He added that the Central Bank and the banking system financed 4,100 hemat (1 hemat equals 1,000 billion tomans, so about 4,100 trillion tomans) in production loans over the first five months of the year, up 68 percent from the start of the year, with a further 269 hemat financed through supply chain financing tools.
