Central Bank of Iran Gives Marriage and Childbearing Loan Priority to Welfare Card Holders Linked to GAM Bonds

Iran's central bank announced that applicants for interest free marriage and childbearing loans who obtain a welfare card linked to GAM bonds will get priority in loan disbursement. According to a Young Journalists Club report that Ecoiran carried on Thursday, 5 Shahrivar 1405 (August 27, 2026), banks are now required to issue the welfare card as quickly as possible once an applicant requests it through the system, so applicants do not have to wait in the loan queue.
Under the announcement, the general terms of the interest free loan do not change, but applicants who choose this path can use the welfare card to buy goods and household items instead of receiving cash.
