13 July 2026 | 3 months ago
China's stock market fell on Monday, July 13, 2026, to a one-month low. The Shanghai Composite dropped about 0.7% to around 3,968 points, slipping below the psychological 4,000 mark. The Shenzhen Component fell about 1.6% to around 14,808 points.
Traders reacted to renewed tensions between the United States and Iran and worries about the Persian Gulf region, with a fresh round of US strikes on Iran over the weekend raising investor caution. As the largest buyer of Iranian crude, China influences Iran's markets through the channels of energy prices and the yuan.
