Dollar Trades Around 154,000 Dinars per 100 Dollars in Baghdad and Erbil

According to Shafaq News, the US dollar closed Saturday's trading, 7 Shahrivar 1405 (August 29, 2026), lower than recent sessions in Iraq, holding around 154,000 dinars per 100 dollars, the same rate recorded in the morning's session. Per Shafaq News's market survey, Baghdad exchange shops sold the dollar at 154,500 dinars and bought it at 153,500 dinars, while in Erbil selling prices stood at 154,000 dinars and buying prices at 153,900 dinars per 100 dollars.
The rate is about 0.7 percent higher than Shafaq News's previous report on 19 Mordad 1405 (August 10, 2026), which put Baghdad's dollar rate at 152,950 dinars, a sign of the gradual rise in the dollar's price in Iraq's market in recent weeks.
