According to a Shafaq News market survey, the US dollar closed Sunday's trading in Iraq mixed on 2 August 2026 (11 Mordad 1405), hovering around 152,000 dinars per 100 dollars.
At the Al Kifah and Al Harithiya exchanges in Baghdad, the dollar traded at 151,800 dinars per 100 dollars at the close, unchanged from the morning session. In exchange shops in the Iraqi capital, the dollar sold at 152,250 dinars per 100 dollars and was bought at 151,250 dinars.
Prices were higher in Erbil, where selling prices stood at 152,550 dinars per 100 dollars and buying prices at 152,500 dinars. The parallel market dinar rate against the dollar matters for Iran's economy, because Iraq is Iran's largest non oil export market and part of the settlement of cross border trade between the two countries passes through this market.
