Economy Minister Ali Madanizadeh said Monday, 19 Mordad 1405 (August 10, 2026), according to IRIB (reflected by Donya-e-Eqtesad), that wartime conditions had made it difficult to secure the funding needed to raise credit under Iran's electronic food-coupon (Kalabarg) program, but that the government is drafting new plans and decisions to secure the required resources. The remarks come as roughly 40 million people have had their electronic food coupons charged since the start of Mordad, with eligible households still waiting for a higher monthly credit amount.
