27 September 2026 · 11 days ago
Morteza Zamanian, deputy for economic policy at Iran's Ministry of Economic Affairs and Finance, said more than 8 trillion tomans (8 hemat) in job-retention loans have so far been paid to firms at risk of damage and job losses under wartime conditions. Mehr News Agency published his remarks, citing the ministry, on Sunday, 27 September 2026 (5 Mehr 1405).
Zamanian said that under the government's division of tasks, the Economy Ministry is responsible for preserving as many jobs as possible and supporting firms affected by the war, and that alongside these loans the firms are being offered tax and insurance relief, extended tax deadlines and support linked to bank credit.
On firms directly damaged in the war, he said the main responsibility for reconstruction lies with the relevant specialist agencies, but the Economy Ministry has planned financing for them through the capital market, the banking system and insurance, and compensation meetings are continuing.
