Eighteenth Government Islamic Securities Auction Sells 26,730 Billion of 57,600 Billion Tomans Offered, an Absorption Rate of 46.4 Percent

11 October 2026 | 8 days ago

According to Central Bank data published by EcoIran, the eighteenth auction of government Islamic securities of 1405, held on Tuesday, 14 Mehr (October 6, 2026), offered seven symbols worth 57,600 billion tomans and sold about 26,730 billion tomans, an absorption rate of 46.4 percent. That is roughly 31,150 billion tomans less financing than the seventeenth auction raised.

Two symbols, Arad 297 and Arad 299, drew no buyers. Of the five symbols that sold, Arad 296 drew the least at about 950 billion tomans and Arad 310 the most at 9,030 billion tomans. Four symbols, Arad 309, 310, 312 and 313, were offered through primary dealers under their agreement with the Ministry of Economy, with a combined value of about 25,780 billion tomans.

Across the eighteen auctions this year, 417,270 billion tomans of securities have been sold, about 40.4 percent of the sales ceiling in the 1405 budget, so the government has not yet reached half of that ceiling at the start of the year's second half. Boursenews also reported the auction result and gave the date of the next auction as 21 Mehr 1405 (October 13, 2026).
