According to Donya-e-Eqtesad and data from the Tehran Gold and Jewelry Union, published Sunday, Shahrivar 1, 1405 (August 23, 2026), the price of the Emami gold coin accelerated further today, reaching 215,500,000 tomans by 11:12am. Per Sahmino's live price data, the Emami coin was trading at 216,015,000 tomans as of 11:34am, up 3.35 percent from the previous day. The half coin rose to 110,500,000 tomans, the quarter coin to 60,000,000 tomans, and the gram coin to 31,000,000 tomans.

The jump extends the three day rally in Tehran's gold and coin market reported earlier this morning, when the Emami coin stood at 209,500,000 tomans and 18 karat gold at 21,469,000 tomans a gram. Per TGJU data, global spot gold traded in a narrow 4,603 to 4,611 dollar range over the same window, indicating today's coin price acceleration was driven mainly by the domestic exchange rate and local hedging demand rather than a move in the global ounce price.
