Gold coin (Emami) prices in Tehran continued their rally alongside the dollar's surge on Sunday, Shahrivar 1, 1405 (August 23, 2026). Data from the TGJU price index showed the Emami coin at 218,035,000 tomans as of 19:30 Tehran time, up 9,015,000 tomans (4.31 percent) from the previous day, with today's high reaching 219,040,000 tomans. The same data put the coin's weekly gain at 14.44 percent and its year on year increase at 150.09 percent. According to Ecoiran, the simultaneous jump in the dollar and gold coin began in early afternoon trading today.
