Esteghlal Football Club Shares Trade at 125 Tomans on Farabourse Base Market, 70 Percent Below 2022 Peak

Shares of the Esteghlal Cultural and Sports Club on Iran Farabourse's base market have fallen nearly 70 percent from their peak of 410 tomans in September 2022 (Shahrivar 1401) to a range of 122 to 125 tomans in recent days. According to Boursenews, published Tuesday, September 1, 2026 (10 Shahrivar 1405), the stock fell 63 percent to 150 tomans by March 2023 (Esfand 1401), then continued sliding roughly another 35 percent, and is now trading around 122 to 123 tomans, supported mainly by the market's broader momentum. Per Sahmino's own price data, the stock last traded at 1,254 rials (about 125.4 tomans).

Boursenews reported that Esteghlal's financial statements show 922 billion tomans in accumulated losses, and the company has paid no cash dividend to shareholders in recent years. Its price to book (P/B) ratio stands above 8, which Boursenews said raises the investment risk. The stock would need to rise about 240 percent just to return to its 410 toman peak.
