Moein Khodro Iranian said on Sunday 26 July 2026 (4 Mordad 1405) that the first units of the Honda Brio, a Japanese plug-in hybrid crossover, have arrived in Iran. The cars came in through the vehicle import channel, and no retail price or official launch date has yet been announced.
Car imports into Iran depend on foreign-currency allocation, and the way FX is allocated for imported vehicles is one of the three items on the agenda for Monday 27 July (5 Mordad), when parliament's Industries and Mines Committee meets the central bank governor.
The arrival of new hybrid units comes as Iran's domestic car market has seen slow trading in recent days, with prices falling on several high-volume models.
