27 July 2026 · 2 months ago
Iran Khodro Industrial Group announced in a notice to employees that its summer shutdown has been set for Saturday, 8 August, through Friday, 14 August 2026 (17 to 23 Mordad 1405). According to the notice, reported on Sunday, 26 July, all company activities except maintenance and repair units will be halted during that period, and attendance on an overtime basis is prohibited.
The decision comes at a time when managing energy consumption and easing pressure on the electricity and water networks has become a central factor in executive decision-making. As of publication, the government had issued no official announcement of a general summer shutdown, and what is confirmed is Iran Khodro's own internal decision for the month of Mordad.
A week-long halt at the country's largest carmaker matters for the vehicle market, because it affects delivery and supply schedules in the months ahead.
