According to Ecoiran, the free market dollar rate in Iran rose on Thursday, September 3, 2026 (12 Shahrivar 1405), crossing 221,000 tomans. The euro traded at 257,720 tomans and the UAE dirham at about 60,388 tomans in the same market.
Sahmino's own live data showed the dollar at 220,500 tomans as of 15:59 Tehran time, up about 0.27 percent from the start of today's trading. The dollar's rise came alongside global gold climbing above 4,448 dollars an ounce and gains in domestic gold and coin prices, a move traders linked to escalating Iran-US military tension and inflation expectations.
