According to Donya-e-Eqtesad, the free market dollar rate in Tehran fell from the previous day on Sunday, 25 Mordad 1405 (August 16, 2026), reaching 186,640 tomans. The free market euro also eased, to 215,930 tomans, while the UAE dirham stood at 50,800 tomans and the British pound at 252,550 tomans in the free market.
By contrast, the official transfer rate at Iran's Currency and Gold Exchange Center rose from 155,163 to 155,428 tomans. Per Sahmino's own market data, the free market dollar was also trading around 1,863,000 rials (186,300 tomans) in mid session today, likewise down from the previous day.
