General Motors Beats Q2 2026 Estimates and Raises Full-Year Guidance
22 July 2026 · 3 months ago
General Motors, the largest US automaker, reported adjusted earnings of $3.57 per share for the second quarter on Tuesday, 21 July 2026, up 41 percent from a year earlier and above analysts' consensus of $3.13. The company attributed the result to pricing power, strong truck sales and cost discipline.
GM raised its full-year 2026 adjusted operating profit outlook to a range of $14 billion to $16 billion (about $12 to $14 in adjusted earnings per share) and trimmed its expected gross tariff costs for the year to $2.5 billion to $3.5 billion, from $3 billion to $4 billion, citing a US Supreme Court ruling that struck down part of the emergency tariffs.
