Gold and coin prices rose in Tehran's market on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, even as the global gold price edged lower. According to Donya e Eqtesad, by 11:00am Tehran time 18 karat gold rose to 22,381,000 tomans per gram and 96,950,000 tomans per mesghal, while the Emami coin rose to 222,000,000 tomans; the half coin traded at 113,500,000 tomans, the quarter coin at 61,000,000 tomans and the one gram coin at 32,000,000 tomans.
The same report put the global gold ounce at 4,641 dollars, down 6 dollars from the previous day, a modest pullback that stands in apparent contrast with the simultaneous rise in domestic gold and coin prices and may be linked to moves in the domestic exchange rate. Final trading prices for the day will be released after the market closes.
