Iran's Ministry of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare said today, Sunday, August 16, 2026 (25 Mordad 1405), that the electronic food subsidy card (kalabarg) recharge for household heads whose national ID number ends in 7, 8 or 9, the third group, will now be credited on the 5th of each month rather than the 25th as before. According to EcoIran, citing Nournews, Yaghoub Andaesh, the ministry's deputy for welfare and economic affairs, said under the new schedule the first group is charged on the 15th, the second group on the 25th, and the third group on the 5th of the following month.
With the schedule change, household heads whose national ID ends in 7, 8 or 9 will effectively not receive an August (Mordad) food subsidy card credit, and must wait until August 27, 2026 (5 Shahrivar) for their next charge.
