Yaqub Andaish, deputy for welfare and economic affairs at Iran's Ministry of Cooperatives, Labour and Social Welfare, announced a change to the e-ration card (kalabarg) charging schedule starting this Mordad (August) 1405. He said credit will now be deposited into household heads' accounts based on the last digit of their national ID, in three windows: the 15th and 25th of each month and the 5th of the following month. Households whose national ID ends in 0 to 2, plus those covered by welfare institutions and the armed forces, are credited on the 15th; ID numbers 3 to 6 on the 25th; and 7 to 9 on the 5th of the next month.
Accordingly, the accounts of household heads whose national ID ends in 0, 1 or 2 were credited today, Thursday, 15 Mordad 1405 (6 August 2026). The credit, worth 1 million tomans per person, can be used for a month at contracted stores. Andaish said outstanding payments to contracted stores have been settled through the end of Tir (July), and that under the new schedule the second group's deposit is delayed five days and the third group's about ten days compared with the previous timetable.
